Each week Bath Business News gives a prominent member of the city’s business community the last word on our weekly e-bulletin.

This week Jo Hall, executive director at Bath Racecourse, answers our 10 questions.

What was the LAST:

Film you watched? The Imitation Game – a really great film.

Book you read? Will It Make The Boat Go Faster? by Olympian Ben Hunt-Davis

Music you bought or downloaded? I downloaded a few tunes to play in the car for a weekend away with the girls including Stevie Wonder’s Superstition.

Concert or play you went to? I hardly ever get to events like this anymore – the last thing I watched live was Dirty Dancing, the Musical at the Bristol Hippodrome for my mother-in-law’s birthday.

Sporting event you attended? The Cheltenham Festival in March

Holiday you went on? We visited Centre Parcs in Longleat for a short break in March to celebrate my birthday as well as my little girl’s birthday – we’re three days (and 30 years!) apart.

Restaurant you ate in? Lovely restaurant called The Quay in Ilfracombe during a hen weekend.

Thing that annoyed you? The weather! My financial results are so heavily reliant on sunshine…

Thing that made you laugh out loud? Playing cards against humanity with friends…

Piece of good advice you were given? A 5% change can make a 50% difference.

Jo Hall has been working at Bath Racecourse since 2006 having joined in the commercial department selling sponsorship and hospitality. She became general manager in 2009 and executive director in 2013.
