Each week Bath Business News gives a prominent member of the city’s business community the last word on our weekly e-bulletin.

This week Linda Donaldson, managing director of Bath public relations firm Geometry PR, answers our 10 questions

What was the LAST:

Film you watched? The Blind Side – I love this film about Michael Oher’s life and his rise from the street to top American NFL Football player. A strong morale theme of human kindness runs through this true story and it’s a bit of a tear jerker so have some tissues at the ready.

Book you read? Swim, Bike, Run by the Brownlee Brothers – inspirational stuff for me as I am currently training for triathlons.

Music you bought or downloaded? I bought an Elvis compilation CD which was a spur of the moment purchase in the supermarket. I do love the King.

Concert or play you went to? Dolly Parton in concert last year was a surprise present for my 40th from my sister and even bigger one to find we had front row seats. She is an incredible business woman.

Sporting event you attended? Bath Rugby v Gloucester at the Recreation Ground. A glorious sunny afternoon, amazing game of rugby and enthusiastic after party celebrations all made up a highly memorable day.

Holiday you went on? Centre Parcs at Longleat. Brilliant break full of outdoors activities to tire the kids and cycled all week long.

Restaurant you ate in? The Green Park Brasserie – it always has a lovely ambience, friendly staff and really great food. Highly recommend.

Thing that annoyed you? Being taken for granted.

Thing that made you laugh out loud? A short clip from an old Only Fools and Horses sketch where Trigger tells Del Boy he has used the same brush to clean the streets for the last 20 years. He is only changed the handle 11 times and the head a few more. Utter genius of the writing and acting is something we rarely find on TV these days.

Piece of good advice you were given? You are a long time dead.

Edinburgh-born Linda Donaldson founded Geometry PR in 2001. She has lived in the West Country since 1997 and has three children who were all born in Bath. Her new found love of triathlon means that when she is not at work she can usually be found outdoors training.
