Each week Bath Business News gives a prominent member of the city’s business community the last word on our weekly e-bulletin.

This week Louise Prynne, chief executive of the Bath BID (Business Improvement District), answers our 10 questions.

What was the LAST:

Film you watched? The Danish Girl. Alicia Vikander was particularly impressive in her role as Gerda Einar Wegener’s wife. Eddie Redmayne played Einar, of course!

Book you read? Cider with Rosie by Laurie Lee following its recent TV dramatisation.

Music you bought or downloaded? Pharrell Williams Happy in 2014 – still one of my favourites!

Concert or play you went to? Mack and Mabel starring Michael Ball. Great music and escapism

Sporting event you attended? All Blacks v Georgia in the Rugby World Cup at the Millennium Stadium, Cardiff. A fantastic location and wonderful opportunity to see the All Blacks in action. Georgia played so well against them too!

Holiday you went on? Puerto Portals, Mallorca last October. Superb for people watching – a favourite escape, just 15 minutes from Palma, great walks, coastline and dining options

Restaurant you ate in? Brassiere Blanc in Bath catching up with friends

Thing that annoyed you? Poor communication . . . people doing things and not keeping me in the loop.

Thing that made you laugh out loud? My daughters thinking they only needed to get the vacuum cleaner out if they dropped something on the carpet! They didn’t realise that it should be on their weekly to do list!

Piece of good advice you were given? “Speak to others as you would like to be spoken to yourself” ….I’m all for old fashioned courtesy and treating people with respect.

While originally from Wales, Louise Prynne feels very much at home in the city, being both a University of Bath alumni and regular visitor. Returning recently to work as chief executive of the Bath BID has been an easy transition for Louise, who loves the city life on offer in Bath.
