Each week Bath Business News gives a prominent member of the area’s business community the last word on its weekly e-bulletin. This week Rachael Rackham, director at Bath accountancy firm Richardson Swift, answers our 10 questions.

What was the LAST:

Film you watched: The Whale, starring Brendan Fraser.

Book you read: The classic The Dinosaur that Pooped the Bed. I have a four year old!

Music you bought/downloaded: Sam Smith’s latest album Gloria. I’m a big fan and love to run to their music.

Concert or play you went to see: I haven’t been to a concert in a while. The last thing I watched at the theatre was the comedian Rob Beckett. He was hilarious. Anecdotes are my favourite.

Sporting event you attended: The local swimming gala. My son was participating with his school.

Holiday you went on: I went to Dorset last summer with my family. The beach and sea in Studland is perfect for kids. We treated ourselves to a paddleboard and spent the summer trying to perfect the technique.

Restaurant you ate in: The Pony in Chew Valley for steak night. It was so good. They’ve recently had a renovation. It’s a beautiful location and amazing food.

Thing that annoyed you: Delivery companies not leaving parcels in my designated safe place. I’m happy that my recycling bin is safe.

Thing that made you laugh out loud: Myself! I’m a fan of telling a good story, which I, at least, find very funny. I’m sure my colleagues will agree!

Piece of good advice you were given: Breathe in the light, breathe out the peace. Physical and mental wellbeing are a passion of mine. For myself, family, friends and colleagues. Taking some time for conscious breathing is good for the soul and keeps you grounded. You’ll often hear me saying it around the office.

Rachael Rackham recently joined the board of Bath accountants Richardson Swift after seven years with the firm. In addition to dealing with clients, she is also responsible for its human resources.
