Each week Bath Business News gives a prominent member of the city’s business community the last word on its weekly e-bulletin. This week Sarah Lane, head of business property at Bath law firm Stone King, answers our 10 questions.

What was the LAST:

Film you watched? At the cinema it was Bridget Jones’s Baby. I have age in common with Bridget Jones – we are both 43! Having thought it was going to be duff, I must admit I roared with laughter and it was a great film to watch with one of my best friends.

Book you read? An Unkindness of Ravens by Chloe Rhodes – a little book of collective nouns and the historic origins of the groupings. It's a great ‘dip in and out’ read with enough historical context to be useful in a pub quiz!

Music you bought or downloaded? The Themes from Follies by Stephen Sondheim. It has suitably calm elements and is great dinner music.

Concert or play you went to? The RSC’s production of Two Noble Kinsmen (Shakespeare/Fletcher) at The Swan in Stratford-upon-Avon. It was an excellent production with some really modern staging.

Sporting event you attended? My daughter Izzy’s last home hockey match against a local rival team. It was a 10-0 victory to Izzy’s team! Does this count? It must!

Holiday you went on? A very short break in Stratford-upon-Avon, and before that a week in my favourite place in Pembrokeshire. I have a little cottage on the Marine Walk overlooking the old town in Fishguard. It’s like stepping back in time – all the good bits. Family and childhood memories everywhere.

Restaurant you ate in? The Royal Oak at Easterton, Wiltshire – a lovely thatched Wadworth pub with a restaurant that serves the best lamb dishes, and magic home-made curries!

Thing that annoyed you? Too many Christmas decorations in the shops before Halloween. I need proper order restored. Oh, and Brexit!

Thing that made you laugh out loud? A fabulous Halloween party that we went to, complete with moving electronic monsters and zombies! It was held by clever friends who just don’t take themselves too seriously.

Piece of good advice you were given? Be persistent. My late mum used to say: “When knowledge and ability are not enough, be persistent.”
