Bath-based online wedding gift list firm Prezola has more than doubled the size of its warehouse after its landlord, city-based commercial property firm HPH, completed a major refurbishment of the building.

Prezola, which has its head office on Queen Square, sources 30,000-plus products from more than 100 of the UKs leading high street and online retailers, allowing couples about to tie the knot the chance to browse gifts in one place.

The warehouse, on Westbury’s Woodland Estate, also provides a gift wrapping and delivery service.

Prezola first moved its warehousing operation to a 5,600 sq ft HPH-owned unit in 2014. HPH fitted out the unit, incorporating external glazed screens to increase the internal office space and installing additional heating and lighting.

Now three years on, the rapidly-expanding company has again worked with HPH to cater for its continued exponential growth, developing 13,000 sq ft and investing further in a range of practical upgrades including advanced, responsive lighting which automatically lights up areas of the warehouse in use.

An additional loading door was also installed along with double glazing throughout the unit. The refurbishment, which has also boosted the unit’s eco-credentials making it more efficient and cheaper to run, was completed in just 12 weeks.

The energy savings will be passed on directly to Prezola.

Prezola was started by former Future Publishing director Dom Beaven, who was also head of digital and social media at Comic Relief and FIFA’s 1Goal World Cup legacy. Today it is run by Dom and his wife Ali Beaven, pictured.

Dom said: “We have a close working relationship with HPH, and Lindsay (Holdoway, HPH managing director) and his team listened to our requirements to allow them to come up with a schedule of refurbishment that has caused minimal disruption to our day-to-day operation as we scale up into this new site.

“Having a responsive landlord has helped us to adjust the new unit to meet the needs of the business as it expands.”

Lindsay Holdoway added: “At HPH we work closely with our tenants to identify measures that can facilitate the growth of their business. We actively invest in technology and infrastructure, allowing our units to offer premium accommodation for modern businesses.”

HPH is currently marketing other units on the Woodland Estate.
