Bath Business News has officially launched its new sister title Creative Business News with a celebration of the West of England’s creativity.

The exclusive event was staged aboard the MB Tempora, a former Dutch barge on Bristol’s Floating Harbour and now home to Floating Harbour Studios.

The event attracted the cream of the region’s creative sector who heard how the new digital news and information platform is showcasing the West of England’s creative boom and the businesses and individuals behind it.

Creative Business News is produced by the experienced journalists behind Bath Business News, Bristol Business News, and Swindon Business News, led by editor Robert Buckland, supported by the editorial team from Bristol-based creative business communications consultancy Purplefish.

Robert outlined the idea behind and ambitions of Creative Business News to guests while Purplefish founder Joanna Randall spoke about diversity and inclusion in the creative sector – a subject that Creative Business News will champion with examples of best practice.

Laurence Richards and Robert Sargent from architects Stride Treglown entertained the gathering with some of the firm’s highly creative 52 Big Ideas for Bristol.

The evening was sponsored by Floating Harbour Studios, Amarelle and Budvar.
